About This Spot

Stepping into Apache Burgers on Dundas Street West is like slipping into a cherished local treasure where time seems to slow just enough to savor simple pleasures. This is a casual neighborhood spot that wears its decades-long history with a quiet confidence, welcoming visitors with the kind of warmth only a place deeply rooted in the community can offer. The bright, clean interior hums with a steady flow of regulars and newcomers alike, all drawn by the familiar comfort of a well-made burger and good company.

The atmosphere here strikes a balance between easygoing and lively - the pace unhurried enough to feel relaxed, yet punctuated by the gentle clatter of plates and friendly chatter that reminds you this is a shared, human moment. Apache Burgers is a place where the heart of an old-school diner meets the approachable charm of a local hangout. Conversations flow naturally across tables, and the staff’s attentive yet unpretentious service reinforces the sense that this is a place built on genuine connections.

The food, while straightforward, carries a sense of care and tradition that resonates beyond its fast-food label. There’s an approachable delight in the everyday: a classic cheeseburger here, a hearty poutine there. And the long-standing presence of Apache Burgers means it has quietly shaped many late-night cravings and casual meet-ups over the years.

Beyond the plate, there’s a nostalgic undercurrent running through the experience: the retro vibes echoing decades of community gatherings and the familiar call of a place that seems to carry stories with every visit. From the friendly faces behind the counter to the open parking lot welcoming late arrivals, Apache Burgers quietly invites you to be part of its ongoing story, one bite and one smile at a time.

It's surprising I have been to this place so many times over the years but never reviewed it. I guess this place doesn't need any reviews - iconic and great burgers but with cash only purchases.

My friend loves to go here. I go with her. No complaints. Reliable burger and sides. Great hours and clean bright interior to dine in.

I got the banquet burger and added the Kaiser bun. The juicy patty crispy, bacon and nice cheddar cheese was a fantastic touch. What an incredible burger spot I will definitely be back and I do recommend it. I’ll be back for the poutine. I’ve heard great things about it!

One of the best spots for burgers in Toronto! The quality and freshness of the food is top tier, and the prices are unbeatable. This diner has been open since the late 60s! Definitely worth coming.

Historic. One of a kind local burger joint that has been around forever. Great food. Fast accurate service. Line up to place order and get your food. These guys know what they're doing. Ample seating unless it's super busy. Men's bathroom is very small. Sadly the neon guitar fell off the ceiling.

Stopped by Apache and the place was buzzing! I got the double/twin cheeseburger with bacon, and it was fantastic super juicy and exactly what you want from a classic burger joint. At $18, it’s a bit pricey but was only a couple extra dollars for bacon, but the quality is there. The crowd speaks for itself; this spot is clearly a local favourite especially with the quantity of mobile orders.

It was recommended to me to come to Apache Burger from a coworker that used to work on Etobicoke since I was travelling there for the day. You can tell this place has built quite a positive reputation because it was very busy. The food was really good and worth the money. I really liked the diner style of the restaurant, however the only spot that had a chair vs just stools or booth was right where people lined up for their order so I felt we were in the way of the line while sitting eating out meal. I was with someone who had mobility issues and it was very difficult to find a space that was accommodating to them. Also, I didn't see any signs ( apologies if there were signs) that noted that it was cash only. Perhaps locals would know this but I waited in line to then find out I had to take out cash and then waited in line again. I loved seeing all the celebrities or well known people who came there- it really showed a testament to the reputation they had built. Apache Burger is worth the hype and it was very filling and delicious. We had the classic Apache Burger and it was made fresh and good quality. We also had the poutine and it was pretty good. There was a lady that took our order at the front and she was very friendly. I like that we had the option of picking our toppings on the burger. I would absolutely go back based on the quality of food and can tell why people recommend this place.
